[BEN - Press Reporter Sung Hee Kim] Hyundai Motors made a Three-year agreement with Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Van Gogh Museum houses 700 pieces of works (which is the largest collection worldwide) of Van Gogh, who is well known as one of the greatest among post-impressionists, and annually hosting 2 million people.
As a part of the agreement Van Gogh Museum will support Korean translation service and this will benefit more than 25,000 of Korean visitors understand the arts in depth.
In the past the Museum used to support visitors with 10 main languages but Korean was not a part of the service. Now, the Museum will show extended services in the Museum multimedia tour, map, brochures and websites in Korean.
Axel Ruger, director of Van Gogh Museum, said “Hyundai Motors and Van Gogh Museum share passion of the works and life of the world’s famous artist Van Gogh and it leads us to the cooperation”.
One of authorities from Hyundai Motors said “By supporting the arts, culture and the collaboration of technology and arts, we wish Hyundai Motors will create new value” and “By the agreement we also wish for more people around the world to have more opportunity to experience the beauty of the arts”.
Hyundai Motors is also associated with the Tate Modern in London, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary art in Korea, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in the United States, regarding various global art projects, and engaged in supporting the museums in long term.
